    The law also says …
The law also says she can testify against him if a crime is committed against their child/children. Certainly, a case for endangerment/psychological damage (since the child was present @ the time of murder) could’ve @ least been explored

    The bit about the …
The bit about the law @ the time, if you read it, Donna and her family could’ve brought a civil case against him & she would be able to testify against him (that is, if I read the law correctly).

    So I think the …
So I think the sister, donna, should’ve been arrested too. Sure back in the day you don’t tell police, but you don’t tell YOUR SISTER, YOUR SISTER!!! Then ask her to babysit?!? She’s just as guilty as the husband.

    actually they were …
actually they were still married, and i’m not sure of the laws where she lived, but there is a law here in new york that states that a spouse can not testify against another spouse no matter the situation.they have rights, and if they are still married then the suspect can say he doesn’t want her to testify, and they have to oblige.

    I know the times …
I know the times were different then; but you’d have to agree the guy was frequently returning to that apartment and brutally attacking his estranged wife. She might have mentioned that to her sister, or maybe MOVED! I don’t understand people. I just don’t (oh wait I lived briefly, with a man I believe was a serial killer. he laid out several, 8 to 10, switchblades on a cloth while I was out one night. He could have killed me. But this was in the 90s and I later reported his behavior.)

    If you have ever …
If you have ever been hurt by a loved one, you would understand why it isn’t retarded. If he can do that to you when you didn’t do anything to him off, imagine what he can do if you and your child have him arrested and really him off. This happened with my ex and he got released on bond and beat me with a bat and put me in the hospital for 2 weeks. Plus she had a child to worry about. So I understand why she kept quiet. The laws now are inadequate so imagine how it was then.

    It’s at night, …
It’s at night, she’d been out, she was startled by the appearance, scared, she wasn’t looking for details of the body. She was scared of the man, if she went to police, and they didn’t believe her, then he exacts revenge on her and their daughter. At that time, there was a lot who had the mentality that a husband could do as he liked to his wife, that she was his property.

    Yeah I was …
Yeah I was wondering that as well. Surely you could tell if it was your husbands body and penis. Surely she had seen it enough.

    So, was the naked …
So, was the naked guy outside the apartment assumed to be the suspect? If so, you’d think that she would recognise her husband naked and be allowed to testify to that fact, seeing it had nothing to do with him raping her…?
