Employees Expose FOX NEWS’ Distortions

FOX News: “Fair and balanced” because they say so!

A brief but shocking compilation from the documentary:
“OUTFOXED: Rupert Murdoch’s War on Journalism”
http://www.outfoxed.org/

As Rupert Murdoch’s ‘war on journalism’ hits new lows, droves of disgruntled employees are confessing their many misdeeds, brought upon by the Soviet-Union-esque environment they faced at FOX News. Watch how FOX executives dictate their bias by forcing reporters to follow memos that predetermine what they can say and how they should say it.

Rupert Murdoch has decided that the best approach to journalism is to parade opinions dressed-up as News. The reason is simple: No one can disprove an opinion, and therefore, credibility is easier to maintain. Should they ever be caught lying, the legal process affords them protection under the First Amendment. We also have Congress to thank for the bright idea of passing a rider Bill (hidden) to deregulate the News Media.

That’s right; Corporate News entities can tell lies and distort the news as they please, and it’s all perfectly legal.

To the best of my knowledge, no country can have or maintain democracy without an honest Press or, at least, one that can be held accountable. But where is ours?

Not convinced? “Florida Appeals Court ruled that there is absolutely nothing illegal in a major media organization lying, concealing or distorting information”: http://www.netfeed.com/~jhill/RupertM…

This video clip is a brief compilation from Robert Greenwald’s documentary:

    @Shiftfallout Watch …
@Shiftfallout Watch morning Joe if you want all sides, watch Olbermann and Maddow if you want fun, watch Fareed Zakaria if you want informed global opinions. Watch Fox if you want Beck, Hannity, and O’reilly lying for for several hours on end.

    I am a Democrat, …
I am a Democrat, for the most part…but I tend to vote on the issues so there could quite possible be areas where i agree with the right…with that said let’s break down “fair and balanced” quickly. “Fair and balanced” confuses me because how can the “news” be “fair and balanced”. News should be “fact”, With that logic how can the news be either fair or balanced, news is the truth….someone explain to me if I’m looking at this wrong.

    “There is no …
“There is no journalism at the Fox News channel”, and that quote puts it mildly.

    News is all about …
News is all about ratings in this day and age. Its part of the problem, however, stop and think about this. With Obama at less than 50% approval rating, and Fox news having the highest number of viewers, steadily growing, it goes to say people are watching fox not because its wrong, but because they are doing something they are not getting with the other networks. I have found two sides to fox debates, rather than the 1 side found on say nbc, the facts are there. You cant focus on oreily only

    Not sure why people …
Not sure why people are giving you neg points. One of the first thing documantary film makers learn, even in very liberal universities, is that there is no such thing as an unbiased documentary, it is the same with what we pass off as journalism these days. The left seems to think that if its inconvenient information, it is there for incorrect information. Talk about self brain washing. its ridiculous.

    Didn’t seem biased …
Didn’t seem biased at all. You get anchors who used to work for the network telling you about the kind of stuff that goes on there and yet Fox claims to be “fair and balanced” when they are anything but. If you report everything from a conservative perspective, that’s not balanced. Out of 3 major news networks CNN seems to be the most “fair and balanced.”

    News isn’t about …
News isn’t about ratings, fact isn’t about ratings, reality isn’t always popular. Bill O’Reilly is anything but fair and balanced. He needs to stfu.

    And I suppose this …
And I suppose this presentation wasn’t biased either? lol Media is always biased because it is run by people, and people have opinions. We’ve known this kind of thing has been going on for years with all of the media; they want to tell something a certain way to make their audience think a certain thing.

    LOL There is more …
LOL There is more Journalism on Fox than there is on MSNBC. IN fact the CMPA did a study and Fox came out the most balanced of them all. IF the majority of Americans lean left, then why is fox the most watched news network? they have the highest ratings. Fact is Fox covers topics the others wont, they cover topics found in news papers around the nation. If Fox is missing proper journalism, then therefore by default MSNBC is missing more and news papers just as much. Ironic isnt it?

    I wonder if fox …
I wonder if fox news is willing to air this on their show. Little by littl the truth comes out. The question is when are you going to accept it. Now, or before it’s too late?
