    We have to vote …
We have to vote these stupid laws out.
California who has more than 4 million marijuana smokers is leading the way by making it legal this year with Assembly Bill 2254 and California Norml estimates it could have a state wide annual economic impact of $12 billion every year plus an additional 50,000 new jobs

I am voting for it, I want to see health care providers for the disabled make more than a minimum wage, public library’s open up again and public services open 5 days a week in California

    Woah! THREE people …
Woah! THREE people on mainstream news that support decriminalization; I’m amazed this saw the light of day.

    Thanks for making my day!

    If you believe all …
If you believe all drugs should be legal, study the Opium wars.

Cannabis is a completely different subject and the fact it’s illegal is purely economic. It’s a frigging miracle plant/drug for crying out loud, but too easy to produce.

    Dylan could of at …
Dylan could of at least promoted the tax and regulate initiative in 1 of the 50 states and that’s California.
This november 2010, California will Vote up or down The Regulate, Control, and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010 initiative.
A field poll in April 2009 said 56% want it legal.
I believe Oregan and Washington will have similar ballot initiatives.

    Legalization would …
Legalization would seiously compromise their bottom line. Pot is a big profit center for the cartels, and its mostly profit. They grow the stuff in Mexico, the coke they just smuggle, lessening their cut.

Seriously, growing crappy pot and taking it over the border is super easy. Production costs gotta be almost nill, people in the sticks don’t make jack in MX.

    America could cut …
America could cut its military spending in half if we shut down our bases overseas and made all of our soldiers become students. Take them and say “go home with a pink slip and severance… or get into some foreign school and we’ll pay for you for like 6 years”. But America will NEVER do this, nor will we EVER give up our War on Drugs. This country just loves killing things are great personal expense… other countries have these things called “brains”, it’s astounding really

    I wish it weren’t …
I wish it weren’t so, but there are such powerful forces working against marijuana legalization that it probably isn’t going to happen in my lifetime. Politicians are cowards, and people that support the criminalization of marijuana have more money, are bettter organized, and will use fear mongering/lies to support their stance.
